	KAUA`I POLYNESIAN FESTIVAL Date: May 24th - 27th, 11:30 am - 9 pm, 2012 Place: Vidinha Stadium soccer field in Lihu`e, Kauai Contact: Kapu Kinimaka-Alquiza, (808) 335-6466, info@KauaiPolynesianFestival.org The Kamanawa Foundation kicks off at 5 p.m. on May 24 with a "Polynesian Evening of Stars" including "U Tink U Get Talent" contest. Join us for Polynesian entertainment, competitions, food, and more. Entrance fee: $35 for four days or $10 per day. Children below 5 are free.

Enjoy the magic soothing ambience of this fingerstyle, instrumental musical artform created by Hawaiian paniolo (cowboys) in the early 1800's. The longest running concert of it's kind, set in a relaxed, family style building in the hamlet of Hanalei on the north shore of Kauai nestled against the emerald green mountains, rich taro fields, incredible rainbows, with soft tradewinds carrying the sounds of surf and Hawaii's birds through the building. Experience slack key music in the real old style while learning about it's history, legendary players, and the history, culture, and environment of old Hawaii.
